Sunday Services

We are a church of around 200 people, and we share the responsibilities of leading worship and leading singing in our Sunday morning services. Here is a brief overview of our Sunday mornings:

Where we meet: at 175 First Street, Winkler, Manitoba

When we meet:
Yearly Schedule (September – May):

9:30 am: Sunday School (ages 3 to Grade 12), and Adult Bible Coffee

10:30 am: Worship Service

Summer Schedule (June – August):
No Sunday school or Adult Bible Coffee

10:00 am: Worship Service

Sunday School

Kids from age 3 to Grade 12 are welcome to attend Sunday School, which includes singing songs, watching videos with a Biblical theme, and then gathering in smaller age groups to learn and share about the Biblical theme in age-appropriate ways.

Adult Bible Coffee (ABC)
Everyone is welcome to ABC, which meets on Sundays from 9:30 -10:15 am (the same time as Sunday School). This informal fellowship time over coffee and snacks is a great way to get to know each other. A 15 minute Bible lesson is provided, followed by time for questions and sharing, and coffee refills.

Worship Service

Everyone is welcome to join us for our worship services. We sing together, read Scripture, and have a sharing time and pray for each other, including praying for a Family of the Week. This is followed by a 30 minute sermon ending around noon.

Communion

We celebrate communion on the last Sunday of each month; our communion is open to anyone (including children) who are, or want to be, a follower of Jesus.

Potluck Lunch

On the last Sunday of every month we have a potluck lunch together immediately following the service. Our long-standing tradition is for people to bring a hot dish, along with either a salad or dessert, to share with everyone. We always have more than enough for everyone, including all visitors.
